2017-2019 Survey on Religious Instruction in Primary Schools

This survey was started in 2017 because the Ministry of Education does not monitor which schools promote religious instruction. We asked schools if they had religious instruction, and if so, how it was managed. Hundreds of schools did not reply, although they were legally required to do so under the Offical Information Act. Volunteers continued to try and gather this information over the next year or so by phoning them individually. Many of these schools were obstructive or refused to respond.
